Health Improvement Partnership Council

Health Improvement Partnership Council (HIPC) brings together local health care leaders and key community stakeholders each month to exchange information, discuss common ground issues, and develop collaborative solutions to improve our local healthcare system. 

Integrated Behavioral Health (IBHAC) focuses on improving system-level integration of primary care and behavioral health services for all persons living in Santa Cruz County.

SafeRx is an interdisciplinary coalition of community partners leading efforts in increasing positive outcomes related to prescription medication.

Safety Net Clinic Coalition

The Safety Net Clinic Coalition (SNCC) is a core HIP activity convened quarterly to create comprehensive, well-coordinated systems of high quality, affordable care with an easily accessible medical home for all low-income Santa Cruz County residents.

Workforce Development

HIP supports the development of a strong, knowledgeable workforce through programs that enhance the skills of healthcare providers, non-licensed clinical staff, and management.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs Aware)

ACEs Aware is an initiative led by the Office of the California Surgeon General and the Department of Health Care Services to give Medi-Cal providers training, clinical protocols, and payment for screening children and adults for ACEs. HIP joins this initiative by providing peer-to-peer support to our local clinics in integrating ACEs as part of trauma-informed care.
