Berenice was born and raised in Watsonville, CA. She is committed to serving low-income immigrant and mixed status families and has a personal drive for preventative healthcare.

Berenice graduated from the University of California, Davis, in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. After working at community health centers in roles focused on addressing social and structural determinants of health, Berenice developed a passion for community health and social justice. Berenice joined HIP in 2021, with the goal of furthering her commitment to reducing health disparities in her community.

In her free time, Berenice enjoys being a mom, playing soccer, and exploring new places.
