HIPC Partner Goals for 2020 and Beyond
At the January 9th HIP Council meeting, representatives from HIP partner organizations shared briefly about their organizations’ primary two goals for 2020. A few notable organizational shifts come with the new decade and many partners are tasked with developing new strategic plans while also navigating California’s new Medicaid initiative, Medi-Cal Healthier California for All. HIP staff identified six recurring themes within the HIPC partner goals represented by the icons below.
The January HIPC followup email included the individual organizational goals slides prepared by HIPC members for the meeting. Stephanie Sonnenshine, CEO of the Central California Alliance for Health and HIPC Chair, and Elisa Orona, Executive Director of HIP, asked attendees to each share what brought them into health care. From health care providers and public health experts to lawyers and policy specialists, HIPC members represent an impressive array of backgrounds and perspectives. The combination of sharing ambitious 2020 goals and personal stories resulted in an inspiring and unifying meeting, reflective of the HIP Council’s collective commitment to improve community health.
