Workforce Development Program Manager 

Hayley serves as the Workforce Development Program Manager at the Health Improvement Partnership (HIP) of Santa Cruz County. This position is designed to foster healthcare career pathways in Santa Cruz County using a human-centered design approach and support the Santa Cruz County Health Workforce Council.
 

Prior to joining HIP, Hayley is a Santa Cruz native with over 7 years of experience in education, career services, job development, and student counseling and over 4 years of experience in workforce development. Her previous work includes Sr. Workforce Development Program Manager at the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership, most notably bringing Degrees When Due, an equity-based degree completion initiative to the higher education institutions in the Monterey Bay region and serving students in various positions at UC Santa Cruz in academic advising, career services, and internship and job placement. Additionally, she worked with special education students as a career development specialist at Santa Cruz City Schools District.

 

Hayley has a Master of Arts in Education Counseling with a focus in career services from San Jose State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Dramatic Art from UC Santa Barbara, and an Associate of Arts from Cabrillo College. She is an Executive Board Member for Your Future is Our Business, a non-profit organization providing work-based learning programs for Santa Cruz County students, and she volunteers with Twin Lakes Church’s Sonshine Ministry, which prepares and delivers home-cooked meals to those who are ill or recovering surgery. She loves stand-up paddleboarding and hiking in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
