Opportunities to Get Involved
InternshipsWe accept up to two interns with an interest in health care reform and with an academic background in health sciences, public health or community studies. These positions are unpaid.
To apply for an internship please mail us a cover letter and resume, and state which semester you are applying for. Mail to: Health Improvement Partnership of Santa Cruz County, 1600 Green Hills Rd., Ste. 101, Scotts Valley, CA 95066 or e-mail admin@hipscc.org. Please identify in your cover letter and/or resume:
- Any coursework related to health care reform;
- Work experience in health care;
- Any language abilities, especially Spanish
The work that you do will depend greatly on our needs at the time of your internship, but you can expect that you will have a primary project for which you will be responsible. Examples from past internships are preparing handouts for a public forum on health reform; and coordinating participants and venues for an advocacy video.
